Vienna City Sound is a studio for artists and musicians who value a familiar, intimate atmosphere. The entire location has a comfortable ambiance that is conducive to creative work, and cutting edge audio and video technology brings out the best in every performance.
All studio rooms are networked with DANTE, IP and SDI video connections. Individual recording sessions and live productions are handled smoothly and professionally.
Vienna City Sound was planned by WSDG and implemented in cooperation with Austrian industry experts. Decades of international experience guarantee professional conditions and optimized workflows for musicians and producers. Situated between the two studio areas, the kitchen and large social room offer ample space for breaks. A garage entrance and parking space are available for equipment deliveries.

Vienna City Sound was designed with the goal of creating a modular studio that allows rooms to be combined together as needed. The room planning, acoustic design and networked audio equipment were carefully planned in detail over the course of several months.
Another key planning goal was to create an intimate, safe atmosphere – one that feels like home! An entire generation of musicians has grown up with home studios and places great value on this type of familiar atmosphere.
The initial phase of building the studio required several walls to be removed, relocated or reinforced with steel beams. After completion of the framing work, the next phase was to build a room-in-room structure. The third layer to be installed was the acoustic panels to give the rooms an optimally linear frequency response and short, controlled reverberation times.
A DANTE network, an IP network and analog cable connections ensure that all rooms are linked together.

At over 90 m², Studio 1 offers plenty of space for larger productions. The large recording room (Live 1) with adjacent drum room and vocal booth enables both acoustic separation and performing together in a shared space. Amps and cabinets can also be set up in separate spaces.
The large 30 m² control room (Control 1) was designed according to international standards to guarantee a world class listening and mixing experience.

The Vienna City Sound studio features a modern Blackmagic Design video infrastructure capable of producing professional live streams with up to 8 cameras in 4K. Video and sound are recorded in the large recording room (Live 1), the live sound is mixed in Control 1 and the feeds are merged as a live stream in the control and editing station. We also produce high-quality live music videos with a cinematic style as well as our own live show, where artists and bands present their newest songs.

The large lounge area provides plenty of space and tranquility for relaxing before or after a recording session. The studio offers a spacious kitchen, toilets, a shower, and a comfortable atmosphere.
